We met on November 23rd at the garden for a soil activity led by a fantastic group of UBC Environmental Sciences Undergraduate students. Their project was "Soil Education and Mapping: Place-Based Learning at Riley Park", a collaboration between Little Mountain Neighbourhood House (LMNH) and UBC.

Elena guided us through 4 different stations, each with a different activity: 1. Soil texturing using hand texturing methods 2. Soil PH measurement using field test kits 3. Preparation of seed starting mix 4. Soil biology inspection
