Native Plants

After the lesson with Lori we did some gardening: weeding our plot, planting more seeds and transplanting the seedlings in the greenhouse to larger pots.

We met Lori at the Riley Park garden on the morning of May 14th. Lori told us stories about first nations' ways of living with the native plants, and together we walked around the garden and learned about Red Alder, Blue Elderberry, Huckleberry, Thimbleberry, Mullein, Salal, Plantain, and Dandelion
